http://www.actchangetransform.com – What To Eat When You Have Ulcerative Colitis
This is a very trick question to be honest with you…in that there really is no black or white answer to this…there just isn’t.
I’ve dealt with IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) for almost 11 years now and I know a thing or two about a UC diet.
You’ll read online about suggestions that you should stay away…and for the most part they are correct, but it’s not 100% true and correct for everyone.
For instance, you’ll find that dairy comes up a lot as a no no. Fried foods, junk food, sugar, legumes, beans, fiber, greens, nuts, seeds, certain fruits and vegetables….anything that can be hard to digest really.
However, this is not a list everyone can go by. Some UC sufferers may be able to eat one thing and another UC sufferer just cannot eat that same thing.
I can’t eat greens or beans…but I have several colleagues with the disease that eat them on a regular basis with no symptoms to speak of….
It can also depend on the severity of your disease…is it mild or is is it severe and very active…this will be a determining factor as well…so you really just have to use trial and error…and over time you will discover for yourself what you can and cannot eat.
My IBD was so bad that I was constantly having flares…I had to leave my job and was forced to start my own home business…looking back at it, it was the best decision I’ve ever had to make…even if it was forced upon me!
Want to learn about what it is that I do that allows me to work from home and not deal with my IBD in the workplace?
